iProperty Group Prepares for an Enormous 2013

In just a month we will welcome December and then we will bid farewell to 2012 and usher in 2013! It has certainly been an exciting journey for the iProperty Group. We had record breaking months, hit new targets, launched highly successful innovative products and garnered tremendous success across markets we operate in.

In an effort to ensure that we continue to gain momentum and attain the success we desire in 2013, we are reevaluating what we do to identify areas in which we can improve. We have been putting in the hours and looking at ways on how we can deliver the best experiences for our consumers and customers.

To achieve this, we are asking ourselves – How do we work together as a team? How can we make our consumers and customers experience unforgettable? How can we further increase the leads for our customers? How can we improvise our products and services? What next highly innovative products can we launch?

I find that planning for the year is similar to organizing a race. There is the management of resources, identifying the ideal roadmap, setting the right direction and pace. No matter the terrain or obstacle we face, the need to remain committed towards achieving the goal is of utmost priority. In order for us to achieve that, we need to move out from our comfort zone and find inspiration to reach greater goals. We are aiming to do things smarter and right the first time.

We want 2013 to be better than 2012, a success than can be triumphantly enjoyed by every employee, consumer, customer and partner. We are shifting gears and ready to embrace 2013 head on. It’s going to be an enormous year for the iProperty Group!

It’s October already!

The last 10 months of the year have been interesting for the iProperty Group.  We have another two months to go before we bid farewell to 2012 and usher in 2013. As per our core values, we take responsibility and are accountable for our actions and as such, it is crucial that we achieve the goals that we set at the beginning of the year.

As we are on the right trajectory, it is vital that that we keep the momentum going to ensure that we finish the year with a bang.

Here’s a brief overview of what’s been happening across our four core markets:

Malaysia

It was another significant milestone for iProperty.com Malaysia. The team has successfully reached the 1.2 million unique visitor mark, further accelerating our growth and market presence in Malaysia. Kudos to the team on achieving such tremendous success!

This month also, we will be organizing our very first iProperty.com Real Deal Expo in Johor. Held from the 19th to the 21st of October at the KSL City, the expo is set to bring Johorians the best property deals under one roof. Indonesia

Our ‘Rebutan Rumah Gratis’ campaign which was recently concluded has been nominated by Indonesia’s Top E-Commerce (ITEC) 2012, to be in the running for the Best Social Media Campaign.

It’s was a tremendous honour to have our campaign garner such recognition. It serves as a validation that the campaign has achieved its objectives in making Rumah123.com the top of mind website that consumers will visit to find their dream home or their next property investment.

Hong Kong

It was certainly a significant accomplishment when the team in Hong Kong announced that they had formed a partnership with one of the Big 4 property agencies, breaking the 10 year ban that Hong Kong franchise groups had in place which prevented ads being placed on property portals.

Signing up one of the Big 4 property agencies in Hong Kong demonstrates that we have become the trusted portal for consumers and the preferred marketing partner for property developers and agencies in the country.

Singapore

If you haven’t already noticed, our portal in Singapore has received a face-lift a couple of months back. The portal has been thoroughly redesigned to provide you easy access to the latest property listings, news and information on the Singapore property market.

We have redesigned the site based on the feedback that we received from our consumers and industry professionals.

The iProperty Group Gave Away a House

Yes! You read right. Over the weekend, on a bright sunny Saturday morning, 123 Indonesians from all walks of life waited with bated breath to see which one of them would be the proud owner of a brand new house in one of the most popular housing areas in Jakarta.  The campaign, “Rebutan Rumah Gratis” which was launched in May 2012 by Rumah123.com, was the biggest ever social media campaign to be organized by a property portal in Indonesia and has attracted the participation of over 70,000 people.

As the panel of judges comprising of a renowned property expert from Indonesia’s Property Watch (IPW) – Ali, Miss Indonesia 2008 – Zivanna Letisha Siregar, Tribunnews.com journalist – Choirul Arifin, Tempo.co.id journalist – Burhan Solihin and prominent blogger – Edy Prayitno deliberated to pick one lucky winner, contestants could only wait anxiously for the winner to be announced.

Mona Noviyanti from Jakarta South, who collected a total of 84 points and outranked 122 contestants, gleamed with joy, excitement and disbelief when her name was announced as the winner of a home valued at RP 500 million in elite Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang, Banten.

“This is totally unexpected. I am still in disbelief! My family members told me not to be disappointed if I don’t win. It is truly a blessing and God had answered the prayer that my husband and I have prayed for,” said Mona with sparkling eyes.

Since we are on the topic of property, we just released the findings of our second iProperty.com Asia Property Market Sentiment Report 2012, which has gathered the participation of over 25,000 respondents. Conducted across our core markets in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore, the survey gave us valuable insights on how consumers in Asia viewed the property market.

The percentage of users who accessed the property portal via their mobile also trumped ahead of other competitors.

The partnership between the two parties will see over 50,000 sales listings published from over 690 LJ Hooker offices in Australasia on the iProperty Group’s network of property portals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.

In Malaysia, we recently launched our iProperty.com Real Deal EXPO at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The three day event held from 15th – 17th June 2012, received overwhelming response and generated sales of over RM 107,000,000.00.

We were also thrilled when the World’s No.1 Badminton player, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei visited the EXPO and granted us a picture with our Event Manager, EXPO, Russell Henry.

In Indonesia, our campaign, http://rumahgratis.rumah123.com/welcome/index.html, to give away a free home continues to receive overwhelming success. The team also released a new publication targeted at Property Developers. The publication is part of our strategy to build long term relationships with property developers while we build the foundation of the business by signing up real estate agents to subscriptions.

In Hong Kong, we have secured more partnerships with the region’s leading developers including, New World Development Company Limited, Emperor Group and Agile Property to promote their latest property developments.

This recent collaboration follows the partnering of GoHome.com.hk with Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited last month, making Gohome.com.hk the only property portal to establish significant partnerships with key leading renowned developers in Hong Kong.
